its cool man i'll straighten it out, i'm takin ou the injectors on friday. im just glad i didnt get a realy expensive set cause then i would be *** lol. i probably wont get that 1st gen though cause i need to sell or trade the truck i have right now. i would trade but that tuck isn't worth what mine is and i know the dealer wouldn't trade plus cash. i will probably call anyway about it. and goodluck w your 1st gen tht sounds like a hell of a lot of work. lol

i talked to a local shop that told me its neither problem that pensacola suggested. its not enough fuel at low rpms with low throttle. delivery valves should help but they cost more than the injectors lol. so i will probably say to hell w it and put the old ones back in. there is an old 1st gen cummins 4wd for sale on a lot close by im probably goin to look into it. im sick of the 10 mph drives through snow tryin to stay on the damn road lol i need 4wd. o ya and the problem w those injectors only comes up in '94 or '95 trucks. the pumps changed a little in '96. that friend of yours probably has one of the late model pumps. so you would probably run into this same problem on your truck. this could be wrong but this mechanic seems to know his *** so i doubt it.

i called pensacola they said it was either a weak return line check valve from the injectors or it was timing problems, eitherway the injectors are losing pressure. i called a shop around here called diesel performance solutions and they said it would probably be 90 to 120 dollars rough estimant to change the timing. im puttin in the plate and checkin that valve then if that doesnt work i will get the timing advanced. that would probably be a good idea to do anyway

the hybrid came from Industrial Injection and what it is........ is a HX35 hot side with the 12cm housing so that it spools just as fast as the stock HX35 but on the cold side is the bigger wheel and housing..... its a HX40..... so your getting the best of both world for a fraction of the cost...... more air with the same fast spool...... you can go onto Industrial Injections page and look it up under either hybrids or custom turbos and they will have the HX35/40W turbo and it retails for 12 or 1300..... mine has around 2,000 miles on it and it will be coming of around march for the 66mm...... but im willing to take much less..... if your interested or know anyone that is just send me a comment with your offer...... thanks and Cummins Power Baby

that shop was just a transmission shop but there is a couple diesel places around here im probably goin to check w but if worst comes to worst i will just put back in the old ones. i dont think i will need to though. w some adjusting i think it could be worked out. i got the fuel plate grinded down today i am pretty sure it will help the wastegate. i just hope that the shake isnt a misfire or something more serious.

ya i think so 2 but i am having some problems w those injectors maybe your friend has ran into this before w em. first of all the wastegate wont close when its wide open, it tries 2 but the boost slowly falls off while the truck shakes pretty bad and the needle on the boost guage goes insane lol. i think i can work that one out w a #0 fuel plate and maybe some adjusting on the waste gate actuator. but the big problem is at low rpms when first accelleating from idle it shakes like a son of a *** its like driving a manual transmission when your about to kill it. i can stop the shake if i let off or if i put my foot in it more. it dose it when goin into tha last gear 2 if im not accellerating. its not smoking so i think compression is fine and all the fuel is burnin. the boost stays constant so i dont think its turbo surge. idk wat 2 do im goin to try the fuel plate but i dont think that will fix the shakeing. i can drive w it its just annoying and im afraid it will tear somethin up. if you know someone that can help or knows wat i could do i'de like to hear it lol

Its white w silver on the sides sepperated by a red pin stripe. ya its stock except 4 that banks exhaust.
Posted: 11/09/08 07:08 PM
the burnouts..... that were 4th gear pinned doing around 60mph...... and im going to be selling the hybrid soon in favor for the 66mm but it would work good on yours with some mods so that you can flow more air with less boost..... that way you add more fuel like delivery valves and more timing or some bigger smoke sticks..... which i will be selling too.....

how did u or do u take off that silencer ring on ur stock holset
Posted: 11/07/08 05:25 PM
yeah my turbo is wastegated at 38 cause i dont wanna worry about the head gasket..... but when the head is done im going to open it upand im hoping for around 60 until the new 66mm comes in then 70+ psi

ya i would like to see em. i love flatbed 1st gens they look like they were built to have a flatbed on em.

nope..... im not in school right now but am looking at going to Northwestern here for diesel..... but how big of injectors you looking for and how much?
Posted: 11/06/08 10:21 AM
its the only one I have but my dad has a 93 w/ a cummins. its a whole hell of a lot nicer than mine there isnt a thing wrong w it at all and it is barely over 100000 miles cause it only leaves the garage to pull the boat. i had it up on the sight but i took it off cause the only pics i had were realy blurry. it is mostly stock but has a banks exhaust and pyro and an isspro boost guage. its the cleanest 1st gen ive ever seen. i will get it up on here some time.

I dont have anything special right now just kelly safari SJRs. I had BFG all terrains on it but the truck ate them up in no time. so when i got the outlaws i got the kellys, they should last longer. but that kerosene idea isn't a bad one. and also i am callin that pensacola diesel shop tonight to order those injectors lol

Dodge sucks
Posted: 10/22/08 06:08 AM
Lol ya he is. he got pissed a while back and he is havin a hard time lettin go lol. But about injectors, ya i've thought about gettin them but the truck already smokes a cloud so i can't see why it would need anymore fuel so i'm tryin for more air first thats why i want to get my boost up. after i start burnin more of what im already gettin i might get new injectors. Do you think i would see i big differance in power w them right now? and do u have aftermarket injectors in any of your rigs?
Posted: 10/16/08 09:24 AM
that sounds like a pretty good deal! I was wonderin how you are getting your boost presure that high cause i have a few things done to mine and can only make about 26psi. i am lookin 4 a way to get it a over thirty that wont cost a *** ton.
Posted: 10/15/08 08:47 AM
Ya lol thats just about dead on and i have ran biodiesel before but around here it costs a little more and after all the stories i heard about it causin problems i try to just keep using the regular diesel fuel, I have never checked to see if it changed my milage when i was using bio though, have you seen any change on your mpg?
