No reliablility issues at all buddy! I do have to watch my egts when towing though. So long as you keep your boost (mine @ 38psi) and temps in check, you will be fine. I have a severley built Allison! It is constucted with Suncoast sourced clutches, Transgo stage 2 shift kit, ATS 5 star converter and the Co-pilot with Mag hytec pan and 26 qts of Amsoil ATF. I built a HUGE dual heat sink trans cooler with a engine cooling fan to keep the temps down. It (trans) runs at 150-160 with 12k trailer in the east coast mountains. As far as the turbo, every application is not identical. I do fine with essentially a factory LBZ turbo on mine. Twins are pretty hardcore. You typically dont need that unless you are pushing large amounts of fuel in a power quest and not burning it all. Twins, compounds, sequentials whatever you want, also tends to compress serious air into high boost levels. At that level, floating the head would be a bigger concern. Your questions are not stupid. Actually, one of the most common ones I get. Thanks. Check out myspace.com/richiestruckandauto for more pics and info.

With all these mods you never worry about reliability?? I had a banks speed loader and all the necessary hardware put on and I went through a transmission. I never ran it that hard. Never pulled anything over 10k, pulled a 5k trailer with the tuner on two to make passes and getting onto the freeway, and it was never driven to aggressively.
Does a twin turbo setup do more in terms of reliability of the engine. I know I would need to get a new torque converter at the least, would a setup like that help my engine last longer?? Is that a dumb question.
I'm pretty new to the diesel scene as far as knowledge goes so I ask all the questions I can
