gotmike has other ride profile(s):
it started as both a 1992 dodge 3/4 ton diesel... and a 1977 Jeep Cherokee Chief...  i chopped 22 inch's out of the dodge frame, shortened the driveline, fabbed up new body mounts and dropped on the jeep body.  i have almost the entire dodge wiring harness in the vehicle.  i have built custom front and rear bumpers built out of schedule 120 pipe, installed toyota seats(garage sale special,) and 4" exhaust.  there's alot of work left...she has the all the dodge gauges set into the jeep dash. The battery's been relocated to the rear of the vehicle and is running 2 12" subs hooked to a pioneer head unit.  she's eventually getting an adjustable back seat out of a ford expidition.  I'm puttin onboard air under the hood using an air conditioning pump, and i'm looking at the under hood welders for repairs on the trail. The next mod under the hood will be stage 2 injectors and a wet shot of nitrous.  That should give me all the power i'll ever need.  I'm working on finding a 12,000 lb winch for the front and possibly a pto winch for the rear to be hidden underneath the vehicle.  It'll be locked front and rear with some more agressive tires as soon as i come across them.  It'll be the ultimate trail/recovery vehicle.

i now have onboard air set up... i used the sanden A/C compressor and 1/2" stainless lines to the tank and couplings... it charges up to 120 psi at idle in under 1 min.  for more pics click the link below

that isn't the radiator... that's the intercooler... i thought about rerouting to put it ontop of the engin same as a subaru WRX... but there just wasn't enough space for that... and since that front clip is the same as the one on a wagoneer... and on the old gladiator pickups...it's got the mounting holes for turn signals between the headlights... so i just set the intercooler up out front with the hoses running back through the grill by way of those holes...

i didn't narrow the axles or frame at all... they're suprisingly similar in size and layout (the AMC and dodge frame) but i did shorten the frame 22"... and i figure on something around 1500 lbs out of the body weight... both with the length and the back of the cab, front of the box and whatnot...

dash isn't completely finished yet... right now the dodge gauge pod is set inside the hole where the jeep gauges originally sat... but they aren't permanantly mounted with a facade and everything... i'm hoping to eventually go with just a diamond plate set back into the dash and a full set of custom gauges arranged same as factory...

Really Nice.  I would like to read and see more about it.  How does the dash look?  Did you have to narrow the frame/axles any?  This has got to be lighter than the truck the chassis carried before, what sort of mpg do you see?  Unfortunate that the radiator doesn't seem to fit in the engne compartement or is that some auxiliary cooler poking out the front?
